Premium site pricing

Filed under: general gay porn — Dr Bill @ 8:07 am

Some of you might wonder if the quality of a site can be judged by its price. The simple answer is no.

You can find good and bad at most any price from 19.95 on up, but your chances of finding something good below that price are slim. There are some exceptions. For example, HMBOYS offers a nice twink site for 14.95 the first month and 10.95 each month after. And of course there is AllAmericanGuys.com, but you won’t see any naked guys, much less any action. Still, it’s a hot site. Just check out this promo video for a taste.

One thing you definitely want to stay away from is the one-dollar for 30 days site. All of those sites are a HUGE rip off! If you’re not REAL careful, the sign up process could end up costing you hundreds. Good luck trying to get a refund, or charge back. I’ll spare you the complex details, and just say they are experts at taking and keeping your money.

If it’s too good to be true, then it’s probably not true.

Using your Email address

Filed under: general gay porn — Dr Bill @ 9:15 am

I know a lot of you use one or more different Email addresses when surfing porn. For a long list of reasons, that’s a smart thing to do, but I’ll offer you one piece of advice. If you use several different Email accounts, pick one to be used exclusively for those times you pay for something. Knowing what Email address you used when buying anything on the Internet is VERY important if you ever end up needing customer service.

Bush administration attacks adult sites

Filed under: general gay porn — Dr Bill @ 9:04 am

Uncle Bush is trying to do a number on the Adult Entertainment Industry, and that number is 2257. Section 18 USC 2257 has been on the books for over a decade, and its intent is to protect under age 18 minors from performing in adult materials. In a nutshell it requires US producers to acquire and maintain copies of proof of age for each performer. The law also instructs the US Attorney General to establish regulations for monitoring and enforcing the law.

The law is poorly written and arguably unconstitutional, as it presumes guilt before being proven innocent. The regulations, originally written before the Internet immerged have already been successfully attacked in federal court for blatant abuse on the part of the Attorney General. About a year ago Congress chastised the US Attorney General for not enforcing the law. The General explained that the regulations did not encompass the newly emerged Internet and he would first have to update them before any enforcement could take place. In May of 2005 the Bush appointed General authorized a new set of regulations.

These new regulations include sweeping changes that have a devastating impact on the adult industry. I’ll spare you the details and just say it basically makes it impossible for most producers and distributors to comply. Worse, it is retroactive, so everything they have or have not done based on the previous regulations could now make them a felon.

Over night hundreds, maybe thousands, of Adult Internet sites shut down and went out of business. Others rushed to make changes in hopes they could try and comply.
The Free Speech Coalition (FSC), along with the top First Amendment atternies in the country, launched a massive defense effort. Phase one was to get an injunction against the Department of Justice (DOJ), preventing them from taking any action under the new regulations. While the judge has not yet ruled on the request, the DOJ has agreed to hold off until he does. The FSC is optimistic the Judge will rule in their favor.
If the judge grants the injunction, a hearing will be scheduled to hear arguments. This process could take a year or more. If he does not grant an injunction, the hearing will still take place. However, the DOJ will be free to prosecute adult sites during the litigation process. If this happens, you can expect to see a lot more adult sites shut down.
I’ll keep you posted as things develop.

What’s with all the uncut dicks these days?

Filed under: general gay porn — Dr Bill @ 8:49 am

Have you noticed all the guys with uncut dicks lately? It’s more prevalent with the younger Twinkie boy types. Well, there are a couple of reasons for this trend.

Parents of the 80’s moved away from having their newborns circumcised, a practice that had been very popular for decades. Now these children of the 80’s are coming of age. Consequently much of the new young talent, or amateurs, we see today are uncut.

The second reason for this trend encompasses all age groups. Increasingly, the US Gay adult publishing industry is looking off shore for its supply of photo sets and videos. More specifically they shop for product in Eastern Europe and South America. It’s a simple matter of economics. A US publisher can get a hell of a lot more for the buck by working with suppliers in other countries. These countries typically do not practice circumcision so most, if not all, of these guys are uncut.

I’m not a big fan of the uncut look. Those tiny pencil dick boys don’t do anything for me. And I don’t think I’m in the minority, as it relates to US consumers.
